I love going through your lists. I always add a bunch to my tbr pile. And I really really really need an engaging book right now.

I love reading other people's lists, returning the favor is the least I can do. I can't believe I didn't think of telling you about Seraphina earlier. Dragons and music!

Did you have better luck finding Georgette Heyer books? I just got some more in the mail, and enjoyed them as much as ever.

I mostly use Goodreads anymore, I really should post a list here more often, because I do so love reading other people's. I get more good recs that way than any other. I just bought Seraphina -- I forgot I had a gift cert at Amazon, and so I'd been going to skip it because of the price for now until I remembered that!

Not really, though re: gift cert I just found a Kindle copy of Friday's Child there, so I went ahead and snagged it too.

I finally stumbled on a book that seems to be keeping me right now, but I can rec a couple of things you might like if you haven't already read them. A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir of Lady Trent by Marie Brennan and its sequel(s) are excellent. Regency/Victorian-esque in style, but with magic. And obviously, dragons. I've read the first two and just purchased the third like I've been meaning to do for a while.

The book I just stumbled on also happens to be Regency-esque with magic. Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal. It's the first in a series, I'm told? I'm just started but I' ( ... )

I'm not on goodreads, and I don't often remember to look there for recs, but I had a look at yours yesterday and well, my tbr pile just grew a little higher in consequence.

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Seraphina, and Friday's Child is a really funny one I mean to read again.

I'm making note of the books you mention, because historical setting and magic is always a good combination for me.

Je préfère pas, déjà que je suis pas à jour dans mes fiches de lecture, ni dans mes articles de fanzine...je doute de pouvoir respecter une autre deadline...
