TWO THINGS

You know, I've been referring to previous posts in nearly every entry I've done this week. Weak week recursion. Anyway...

So do you remember that one post where I showed a piece of Fan Art I'd gotten?

Well, I received a second one but decided I'd hold off on showing it, in hopes that the person would tip their hand.

And she did. I got the truth about ( Read more... )

Ben,

You are a truly wonderful human being. Yeah, people stepped up to plate, but you gave them the info to do that. You are, the peanut butter to our jelly, the wind beneath our wings, the... Lochness to our monster. Monster? Alright...but with out the Lochness, it's just not as awesome.

Oh, and the Teriyaki to our chicken...because life would be a lot less flavorful if it wasn't for you.

You didn't go out and buy every drawring he made, but you knew where to take them so they would be bought. That alone means you deserve almost all the credit. YOU made a young boy's X-mas. You're his Santachilada.

Yay! Santachilada!

For the record, I approve neither of children nor Christmas. Ben is nonetheless awesome. froborr November 15 2007, 23:33:40 UTC
Correction: Joshua is using that money to buy presents for his siblings. Ben is making multiple young boys' and a young girl's Christmas.

I know this is wrong of me, but I'm always suspicious of this type of thing on eBay. There's been rather a few instances of 'moms' selling their 'kids' stuff on eBay, and raking it in on the sympathy/awwww! vote. Not saying this is the case, but you can typically tell by the eBayer's purchase feedback. Say, things a small boy wouldn't buy. I dunno, I'm a cynical bitch *S*

My thinking on such matters has always been, if the person isn't pulling a scam, the money'll make them happier than it will me. And if they are pulling a scam, well, they obviously really like money. So, again, the money'll make them happier than it will me. Why not put it where it'll make the most happiness? It's just more efficient that way.

Here here, you. I totally agree.

I grew up in a house with no locks, because my parents felt that if someone was so desperate to take what was ours, they probably needed it more than we did (and we weren't terribly well off, either.) We were never vandalized or broken into.

That, and locking the doors and windows is a pain in the ass.

I was with you for a few years until my roommate and I found a schizophrenic woman in our kitchen with a knife.

It's a hard line to cross, but once you're over you're REALLY over.
