1.) I always thought that Hulk was the stronger. Just about the only thing I can think of that's stronger than the Hulk is the crotch region of his purple pants.
2.) Yeah, that was a toughie. For me in no particular order Annene, Kat, Rachel, his_hamstress and yourself. I'm pretty geeked that we got to meet Lori, Joe & Bethany. And I certainly look forward to meeting nhyrvana in May! :)
4.) I've kind of been out of comics for a little while, but one of my favorites used to be "What If?" because it gave writers the ability to explore some interesting ideas without having to "fix it" later.
None of us really expect to be chosen. And THAT is your saving grace.
That being said? We all know that actually being chosen for that by anyone is absolutely fucking awesome. It would be like running into thor in an Ice Cream shop and having that moment of "Holy shit, you're real?"
Never really got into the main "Universe" of those comic worlds till a friend in my program got me to read "The Ultimates" From the ultimate universe. I love the Thor in that one. But in general I'm a little "green" so I guess it's just neat to see it in a comic book character? but I guess I always thought it might be cool to have someone important to come out and saying "helping the Earth is a cool thing to do!"
I agree with your judgment on the whole Hulk v Thor matchup, which reminds me of many a conversation in geek shops across Melbourne. My favourite such "what if" is 'Chewbacca versus Terminator
( ... )
Oh, you had to give the Hulk Captain America's shield, didn't you? Now I'm going to spend the whole day giggling at the mental image of Hulk vs. Stephen Colbert.
