Yep, it’s September 18, 2006, which means that it’s time for The 9th Annual Wish benjamin’s Mother A Happy Birthday…Day.

My mother lives in Orlando, Florida, and I live in Urbana, Illinois. According to Google maps, we’re 1,065 miles apart. As such, we don’t see each other very often, perhaps once or twice a year. Add to that the fact ( Read more... )

It was an accident that was made in about 95 or 96, when I accidentally signed an e-mail "benjamin sTone" after failing to capitalize the B and then doing the T instead of the S.

People jokingingly started responding "Mr. sTone" and Bob's yer uncle.

Honestly, benjamin, you seem more worried about your mother than your wife. Where were the emails telling Sara how great/awesome/groovy she is? Hm? Do we have a little Oedipus complex?

I'll send an email to your mom, like every year, but you really should send something out requesting the greatness of your wife. We know her, we don't have to lie.

A) Sara doesn't really use her e-mail, except for work,
B) When it's Sara's birthday, I can totally make out with her and the like, on account of what I live with her.

Besides, Sara's birthday on Friday already kicked ass.
Dinner at El Toro (she loves it) and a show at the Highdive (Baby Gramps and the Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players). So shush.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

You're the second person to do that.
I fear MemeSplosion...but I welcome it even more.

I'd love to end up having a Wikipedia entry on Annual Send benjamin's Mother a Birthday Greeting Day.

Mind, at some point she's going to have to get a new e-mail address solely for her birthday, if it gets that bad. :)

PS -- You're awesome.

I have a wiki account, and I was soo close to making an entry the posting the link for you, but, there are rules about vanity and friends posts, so until this gets bigger or next year on this date, Wiki would just delete it, and that would kill the concept.

Next year, my darling Ben...you will have your wiki page.

Ahahahaha... I sent her this...

A request was made,
for all to send wishes.

And down your way,
will come many hugs and kisses.

All the way from Saint Louis Missouri, by way of Urbana Illinois, I present to you, your birthday haiku...

*Ahem*

Day of birth has come
thought from afar to send love
The dawn is joyous

Excellent!
It's particulary cool because she lived in St. Louis for about...dunno, ten years?

Friday? Did Sara tell you that we came by the garage sale on Saturday? Shane bought some of your Bengals items. He also likes tigers.
