Kagoshima - the city in the extreme south of the country, the Naples of Japan, a lot of sun, warmth and an active Sakurajima volcano in the background. Hitch hiked here from Kumamoto on Wednesday, across the central Kyushu mountain range and a 6 km long highway tunnel.

Few days ago, out of Osaka and on my way to the southern japanese island of Kyushu, I stopped for a short while in Himeji and went to explore its castle. Apparently it is one of the best in Japan (many cities has some sort of castles in this country) and I can easily agree with that. KYOTO - "Rome of the east", the old capital of Japan, home to 17 UNESCO world heritage sites and the city with around 2000 shinto and buddhist shrines and temples!!!  All this sounds really impressive, so I couldnt come to Japan and not to visit it ;)

After last weekends juggling on the streets of Kobe, yesterday evening I came back to Osaka.  Staying again all night in the same manga kissa as I did 3 weeks ago  :)  
 This morning Im gonna have "fun" of visiting the taiwanese consulate here and try to persuade them with issuing me visa, maybe they will be less stubborn then their bureaucratic " ( Read more... )
