Yeah, when I wrote this fic I was thinking of reasons why YED picked Sam and his "General," when Dean is the better soldier and one reason I could think of was that YED didn't really have a choice. Hmm.

I really liked this. It raises interesting questions - I definitely see Dean as the better hunter. He at least has more experience. So of course God chose him for his "team". Poor Sam - I can see him getting the short stick this season. I'm glad that Dean is getting some honest recognition though - from an angel no less. :)

Gorgeous. I adore your explanation of God, picking first, and Dean being the equivalent of team captain. Really, well done. I love that Dean is finally getting a mythic arc on the show equal to Sam's. Your story rings so true to me because as much as I love Sam if I were picking Generals, Dean would have been my first choice hands down.
