I love reading your updates on friends and life. It helps me feel more connected to you, and I want very much to do the same on LJ so that we can connect in another way besides Hearts and Crafts.
I’m learning to recognize my limits and see that unless I schedule time (on a calendar, with reminders) to connect, that it won’t happen because of my low energy levels and tendency to fall alseep as soon as I get home after my evening commute.
I am scheduling time this weekend to do a friend update similar to yours so that I can reflect on and reevaluate my connections to others. I have felt very disconnected lately and hope that I can learn more about my own role in feeling that way.
I enjoy reading your analysis posts of your friendships although I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, Saleena :( How did lunch go with your work friend and did you end up connecting with them? I hear you over needing connection at work. Hearts and Crafts sounds like a lovely social gathering to connect with others.
