ARTpost: ReverseBang 2022 The Second!
I originally submitted this prompt in last year's SPN_ReverseBang, but then it wasn't claimed. I did want to give these guys another chance for a story though, so I handed it in again for this year's edition. Very happy I did, because one of my favorite authors and fandomfriends picked it up and I got to be all giddy and giggly about my OTP behind the scenes, woohoo!

I did fiddle a little with my original piece from 2021 to fix Jensen's shirt:)
The 2022 submission was good enough to use unchanged in the final storybanner above, for which I added the title and names.
This is the prompt I included with the submitted artwork:
Characters: Focus should be on JDM and Jensen, but would love for Jared to be there and am a big fan of the old gang; Chad, Chris, Tom, Mike. Women and OC's are welcome in their circle of friends too;)
Short description of art: Jeff and Jensen are wearing flower crowns. Is it dress up for a party? Are they hippies or fairies or...? What comes to your mind, author; a short snuggly ficlet or an elaborate backstory? I'll go along with pretty much anything, as long as you get this Jensen and this Jeff together and make them happy!
Without spoiling, I can say that whiskyboys pretty much made my dreams come true and I had fun making additional artwork, including charactercards for Jensen and Jeff:)

With quotes from the fic that inspired how I portrayed the guys;)
Making of the paper flowercrowns
I drew copies of the chosen photos and sketched the flowercrowns with coloured pencils
Made a selection of coloured paper and started cutting the crown with the leaves (with tiny scissors instead of a knife, as my fingeres can no longer deal with the pressure of knife cutting)
Light green for Jensen and dark green for Jeff:)
Found a pretty blue in this chocolate bar wrapper <3
See? Pretty!
I added some green touches too
This was the most intricately cut leaf.
I also scored the paper with my bone folder to give the flowers a little depth.
I really liked the shape of the thin flowers, so I made them in more colours
I love making confetti ;-)
Yay, a little sunshine for photography!
Once I was happy with the size and the colourscheme, I rearranged the flowercrowns on white paper for the final photoshoot.

Once whiskyboys started writing, I created a couple of other paperitems...
First up: Jensen's red tie:) (Since the top would be covered by his colar, I didn't make a complete loop)
I folded and scored the paper...
And then crumpled it to fit the slighly rumpled look Jensen had when he showed up:)
The photo also features Bandits scarf that I made later.
These are the original photos with sources, that I used for Jensen's body; I also added the paper tie and a mobile phone. And yes, I shaved off that ridiculous tiny goaty thingy he was trying out :-p
In Jeff's photo I added Bandit and gave him the paperscarf!
When I read about the yurts at Jeff's campsite, I looked up my own travel pictures from Mongolia (1998) for visuals...
I sketched with pencil and colour paper
Eventually I decided this set up didn't fit as a divider or illustration with the scale of the rest of the visuals, so I discarded it.
Instead, I fiddled with the original flowercrowns and folded them into strings!
I also made a flowerversion, but eventually opted for solo flowers.
Then the scene with Jeff roasting s'mores was added, and I just had to include a campfire:)
