Great ending! After all the angst and drama and 'OMG pilots want to make me cry they're so clueless and inept' of the beginning that last line made me giggle. Very well timed uplift in this emotional roller coaster you've sucked me into.

It was sort of a light note. I was a little worried that such a revelation should come with some gravity... but honestly, if this fic has any more gravity it's gonna crash.

Besides, I always think that Kara and Sam calls for a little levity.

Heh, 30 days for Lee ... should've used his hands like Kara.

I sort of wondered how I could justify Kara not seeing the inside of the brig, but at the end of the day Leoben had been increasingly physical towards the end of their meeting and she *did* use her hands. Him being a Cylon and all I imagine it’s no stretch to say that it was “self defense” and just forget about it.

But then Kara gets to eat her own podium revenge.

I really couldn’t help myself… plus, with Lee in hack I needed to find ways to keep him in Kara’s (and your) mind.

Dee is too insignificant to bother.Oh… so you want me to cut Dee getting her then, huh

"30 days/hands" - well, i did remember that Cally's 30 days weren't for killing Boomer, but only for discharging a firearm and endangering her crewmen (it was discharged once in a crowd), whereas lee discharged his several times but only in the presence of a cylon, so who knows, maybe Romo can argue for a commutation... oh, except that it would be purely military matter. Maybe they'll be short a pilot sooner than later

I love your backstory with Helo and Kara after Zak's funeral. Very interesting take and I like the idea that Helo thinks maybe he was the reason Lee and Kara mixed their chance that day.

This is just killng me ... the pilots are making me cry - I'm really worried about Lee and Kara and something tells me Starbuck as the CAG is not a good idea in her current state of mind. I really can't wait for more!

Very glad you like the backstory. I'm afraid it's another case of me poling things that should be left alone with sticks. I just can't shake the idea that Helo and Kara go much deeper emotionally than we know, so I was just playing with that.

Very good story. Not my ship at all (it annoyed me a little bit in the show) but somehow I do like your story ;-) There aren't that many multi-chaptered post-Season 3 stories around and that's how I came to find yours and it's good that I did!
