I was supposed to meet someone for lunch, but I just had to read it first.

I love that you are so into this story, it makes me all gooshy.

Heh, 30 days for Lee ... should've used his hands like Kara.

I sort of wondered how I could justify Kara not seeing the inside of the brig, but at the end of the day Leoben had been increasingly physical towards the end of their meeting and she *did* use her hands. Him being a Cylon and all I imagine it’s no stretch to say that it was “self defense” and just forget about it.

But then Kara gets to eat her own podium revenge.

I really couldn’t help myself… plus, with Lee in hack I needed to find ways to keep him in Kara’s (and your) mind.

Dee is too insignificant to bother.

Oh… so you want me to cut Dee getting her then, huh?

Timeframe?

For that very reason I’ve been taking notes as I go. Sort of a measure to help me navigate the fic now that it’s in the tens of thousands in words count.

Only, the notes are out of hand and damn-near as long as the fic. So they’re a nightmare and more full of things that will never make the cut than things that are actually in the fic. But I shall do my best to clarify the timeframes.
Day 1: - Kara returns.
- Kara in hack, less than a full day.
- After which she is promptly thrown from her rack by Lee.
- She then stays with Helo.
Day 4: - She’s wallowing and stinking up Helo’s sofa.
- Cottle’s inconclusive physical exam.
Day 6: - Her first encounter with unfriendly Fleet personnel.
Day 7: - Helo asks the Admiral to put Kara in hack.
- Kara is visited by Sam.
- That night she is beaten in the showers.
Day 8: - Lee has a hangover the next morning when he finds Kara on the hangar deck. So we can peg that as early morning. 6-8 am.
Day 15: - Kara’s been in the life station a week when Helo finally confronts Lee about taking action.
Day 16: - Lee takes action and sets about finding out who beat Kara.
- Immediately after he takes his list of suspects to Kara.
- The Admiral visits Kara to give his Earth-finder a hurry-up.
Day 17: - Lee visits Kara to confirm Dee’s name on the list.
Day 19: - Kara returns to active duty.
- Kara flies as Lee’s wing on a friendly-fire training mission.
- The Cylon squadron quarantines them from the fleet for an indeterminate amount of time. No more than an hour by my estimation.
- The Cylon party boards Galactica.
- Early afternoon: Kara and Lee … er… “talk” in the Ready Room.
- Kara kills the Leoben model.
- Dogwatch: Kara goes on her bender. I’m going to guess she starts almost as soon as she leaves the Ready Room.
- Late evening (12 pm): Helo warns Kara to behave. We know it’s been five hours since she killed Leoben.
- Lee runs in with one of her conquests.
Day 20: - Guts watch (12-2 am) Kara hits the head. Lee directs racetrack to see her to bed.
- Mid-morning: Sharon seeks Lee out for a lesson in The Way things Are™.
- Mid-afternoon: Kara wakes up. Sam and Seelix make a bit of a faux pas.
- Lee is in the gym getting all hurt.
- Kara runs to Dogsville and finds Kacey. Lee sees and within the hour fronts up at the brig to see Doral, then forces his way into Leoben 2.0’s cell. With not so funny results. At the same time Kara is summoned and everyone finds their way down to the brig.
- Helo intercepts Kara as she flees and takes her to Lee’s quarters where she stays.
Day 21: - Kara starts to pull herself together. Early morning she takes on the role of CAG after her call to the Admiral.
- At this point Lee has begun his 30 days in hack. It’s not really important but I’m saying his 30 days starts here, not day 20.
- Lee makes some resolutions.
Day 23: - Kara takes a lesson with her nuggets and that’s where we leave off.

I bet that was waaaay more in depth than you wanted, wasn’t it?

"30 days/hands" - well, i did remember that Cally's 30 days weren't for killing Boomer, but only for discharging a firearm and endangering her crewmen (it was discharged once in a crowd), whereas lee discharged his several times but only in the presence of a cylon, so who knows, maybe Romo can argue for a commutation... oh, except that it would be purely military matter. Maybe they'll be short a pilot sooner than later.

"Oh… so you want me to cut Dee getting her then, huh?" I take it all back! Please do not cut! *on knees, begging* God, make it painful! Pretty pretty please!

Thank you for the timeframe! It sure helped. After re-reading from the beginning, turned out i got some "time" misunderstood, especially around Chapter 2 & 3. No biggie, but i was just thinking about how long she's been in the fleet and how long the cylons have been in the ship. And how much time is passing from the shooting.

Last question, how much time did the bathroom nuggets get in the brig? Are they back in the class or did they wash out or volutary leave, now that Kara is CAG (she's also Flight Instructor, Earth-finder, and Cylon Interrogator - when will she find time to sleep?)
