Apparently Mother Nature doesn't give a DAMN about the whole, "In like a lion out like a lamb," thing.
I've come to realize I've had piss poor luck with finding a "new" science fiction/fantasy/horror TV series I like in the last few years. I think I was lucky I liked Angel as long as I did. I won't even get into how the revivals/reboots have

Warehouse 13?
Sanctuary?

Warehouse 13, of those three is the one that interests me most. I did care about where Artie was at the end of the season, and I like Pete as a person even if I don't find him as physically attractive as I'd like. I didn't like the female lead at first, and I had trouble getting into it even though I love David Boreanaz. Thing for me was that as David's character and the rest of the characters on the show were filled out more by the writing I had an easier time putting up with the female lead character. It's a lot like how The Big Bang Theory went for me. I really didn't like Sheldon at first, but as the other characters were filled out I found him a lot easier to take.
