It's snowing.

Apparently Mother Nature doesn't give a DAMN about the whole, "In like a lion out like a lamb," thing.

I've come to realize I've had piss poor luck with finding a "new" science fiction/fantasy/horror TV series I like in the last few years. I think I was lucky I liked Angel as long as I did. I won't even get into how the revivals/reboots have ( Read more... )

Fringe, I tried it when it debuted because I've liked Joshua Jackson since he was one of the kids in the Mighty Ducks movies, but neither the atmosphere or the rest of the cast worked for me. My parents still watch it sometimes as, "a show to watch between Bones and The Mentalist." Or I think those are the shows.

Warehouse 13, of those three is the one that interests me most. I did care about where Artie was at the end of the season, and I like Pete as a person even if I don't find him as physically attractive as I'd like. It could grow on me, or go to Hell in a hand basket like Heroes, Torchwood and Primeval have. I'm frankly sort of afraid I will get into it, because how I like Pete reminds me of my initial feelings towards Crichton on Farscape, and Syfy will fuck the series thoroughly up and over like it did to Farscape.

Sanctuary, I tried it when it debuted because I liked Amanda Tapping from Stargate. There wasn't a single solitary part of it that clicked with me, not even Amanda's character. In fact I didn't much like ( ... )

Ah. Well, then, I think I'm out of suggestions. I am concerned that Syfy could screw up Warehouse 13, but I have my fingers crossed.

I never got into Bones -- I don't like the lead female character, although I've tried -- so I either watch FlashForward, or lately I just eat dinner. FlashForward is getting too confusing for me.

*Nods.* Only thing to do right now is wait, watch and pray.

I didn't like the female lead at first, and I had trouble getting into it even though I love David Boreanaz. Thing for me was that as David's character and the rest of the characters on the show were filled out more by the writing I had an easier time putting up with the female lead character. It's a lot like how The Big Bang Theory went for me. I really didn't like Sheldon at first, but as the other characters were filled out I found him a lot easier to take.
