They are calling for 1 to 2 feet starting tomorrow morning at 10 am. I just don't want to come to work - I wanna go play in the snow!

But I have a demo to give. We'll see what happens. Maybe they will preemptively close down the government tomorrow morning to keep 10 bajillin idiots off the roads!

Snow day.

Our communications office posted at 4am an announcement that today would be a half-day, which wiped out the 1 pm meeting we were planning. Once the meeting was gone, the hassle of getting in and out of the city, plus the declaration last night that once the snow got 8 inches deep, the Metro is going to close all its above-ground stations, equals me going freshly bathed back to bed.

We drove out to get some Bratwurst before the storm got heavy, loaded up the birdfeeders with birdseed, thistle, black shell sunflower seeds, and corn, and I'm now trying to make myself do some of the work I would have crammed into 4.5 miserable hours had I gone in.

Hard to think with all the SNOW!!!!

I work in a little office that monitors parts of our database, and I produce analysis/information from the db (and some other sources) on how we're serving the clients. So, some people love me, some hate me, but I do get to play with software applications and see what I can coax them into doing, which can be fun.

A good little gear.
