I was out this gorgeous, sunny Oklahoma afternoon Looking for bits to attach saddlebags to the Buell, and the Triumph dealer managed to twist my arm into taking a test ride on a nice, shiny used '06 Triumph Sprint ST 1050 in Casspian Blue. Dude, add one to the posse who is glad you're OK. Quick reflexes FTW, stupid drivers FTL.

Oh my God! I am so glad you're OK (mostly)!!!! That sounds like it was pretty intense as it unfolded, and I'm just glad it didn't end up a worst case scenario. On the bright side, I am assuming that this wreck goes on the dealership's insurance, not your own, so at least that's one perk of having to lay down a test-ridden bike. (as my dad will say, the bike is replaceable, you are not)

Also, I had to look up ATGATT (all gear all the time). Good for you. Also, what are the holes in the glove and the shoulder from? Just rocks and debris in the road?

The holes are from abrasion along the road. If I hadn't been wearing them, those would have been nice holes worn in the corresponding parts of my anatomy. I do know what I want for my birthday, though - new gloves.

And yes, the incident goes on the dealer's and the car's driver's insurance, not mine, for which I am grateful.

You know, when you see that bottom picture first, it looks like you were shot.

Glad you're ok. And glad you don't have to pay for (most of) the damages.
