Night buses are never fun, but our final leg from Zadar to Pula, Pula to Trieste, Trieste to Venice at least gave me yet another reason to come back to Croatia. The Istrian coast (northern) is gorgeous, especially Rijeka and Pula. We arise early (recurring theme?) for our first day in Zadar for the sheer ability to leisurely enjoy our private room and bathroom IN a hostel. By 830 we are grabbing our INCLUDED breakfast of white bread, butter and marmalade and hot chocolate (that faintly reminded me of sour cream) and "caj," or tea that tasted more like lukewarm KOOLAID. We awake at the ungodly hour at 545 am on our last morning in an attmept to catch the 8am (and nine hour) bus to Zadar. We follow the instructions we are given and walk to the bus station by 645.
