Why aren't we already friends on tumblr? I have the same name over there, friend me!

I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, which I love. It has a disc drive that can be replaced with a blank thing, so it doesn't weight very much when you carry it around, it's great for watching things on, excellent screen quality and resolution so very good for doing graphics, it's... 15 inches? Yet it seems pretty large or a screen, and it's very sleek, black with silvery swirls on it. I wanted to get a Mac because I got used to doing design and editing work on one, and I have to say this laptop is definitely comparable in terms of quality, without some fo the usability acquired tastes that you get with a Mac.

oh my god, how come the last bit of LWW always makes me cry? SO BEAUTIFUL, SO HAPPY, SO IN CONTROL and then it is all just STRIPPED AWAY FROM THEM LEWIS I HATE YOU FOREVER.

I feel like my life got so much freer after I allowed myself to get really bitter at Lewis and make the trial separation from The Last Battle into a permanent divorce.

FRIENDED FRIENDED FRIENDED

oooh, thanks! that is useful. :D is it sturdy? because I am a dropper of things, unfortunately.

I try to avoid thinking about him. When I do, it is mostly just BITTER BITTER HATE.

also dear god Caspian and Edmund - the least subtle or the least subtle? seriously. SERIOUSLY. THE ARMORING UP SCENE. MY BROTHER. THE BROTHER I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE OUT WITH, SURE.

Well I've dropped it a few times and apart from a crack on a little silver thing that i don't think has any purpose, it's still very much intact- no screen warping, no problems functioning. It came with a little remote for the media center features and I lost that, though. Somewhere in the moving.

LOL Caspian. Haha so my friend Ant went to the same school as Ben Barnes (and also as Marcus Mumford, who was head of his house) and I asked Ant if he randomly switched betewen an English and Spanish accent in school, too. It seems that was not the case.

I love Toshibas, generally - they are workhorses. My old one lasted out 8 years and actually still works; it just can't cope with the speeds required for new programs/internet multimedia. They have lots of types, so you can find exactly what you need.

As for LWW, I stop the film just when it switches to the autumn forest. *cough*Ifyoudon'tseeititdidn'thappen*cough*

hmm, excellent. thank you!

it is such a beautifully filmed scene, and the dresses and the crowns and their FACES and how happyyyyyy they are! I can't help but watch through to the bitter end every time. :(

I have a Dell! Not much about graphics quality--I've been satisfied with mine but I don't do much with graphics--but I've been happy with the space. Mostly I've been *really* happy with their customer service. I got the extended warranty and they just sort of send people to fix it when I, um, spill tea on my keyboard. So that's a plug there. I think you should go somewhere and ask to play around with their displays and look at graphics!

oooh, that is good! because I am sort of good at dropping things. :/

WYRM. WYRM. ALL THE NARNIA FEELINGS. all of them. I keep disturbing my family by just wandering around with this ridiculous smile on my face going "NARNIAAAAAA".

I...have a Mac. And to be honest, I really like it. I don't know, it's just really shiny? I won't try and convince you to get a Mac, because I know they're expensive and not everyone likes them, and also I can't really come up with a coherent argument as to why I like them. However, I know that IBM makes some REALLY light laptops (my mom has one that I keep thinking is going to break, it's that light).

Also, NARNIA. asdjf;alsdk When I got my VoDT dvd, I skipped around a bit watching it and most of my reactions were just, "Hnnnng, pretty boys. Oh, hey, Caspian/Edmund subtext." XD

then occasionally he just hangs out on Caspian’s balcony looking suggestive and clearly being impatient with Caspian looking at the swords instead of his really-super-seductive pose.

THIS. Every time I watch the movie, I love and laugh over Edmund's balcony posing, but nobody else seems to notice it.

Also, argh, now I want to rewatch LWW. But I don't want to cryyyyy.

I feel like working macs is sort of an acquired taste that I... have not acquired. but thank you for the IBM rec!

NARNIA NARNIA NARNIA. SO MANY NARNIA FEELINGS. YOUR ICON. IT'S KING EDMUND, ACTUALLY. I LIKE TO JUMP OFF OF THINGS.

so much pretty, seriously. SO MUCH. I don't even know, it's ridiculous. and the subtext! it's like they threw in a few 'I think of you as a brother's to cover up their really obvious DEEP ABIDING LOVE for each other. heeeee.
BALCONY POSING ALL THE TIME. EDMUND, EDMUND YOU TOTAL DORK YOU ADORABLE FAILURE AT SUBTLETY I LOVE YOU.

oh man just. Narnia movies make me SO HAPPY. even when I am being sad about what happens to them, SO MUCH JOY.

<3333 SO MUCH NARNIA LOVE.

It most definitely is! I've had my Mac for almost a year now, and I still have, "Argh, this is how it works on a PC!" moments...

OH KING EDMUND. JUMPING OFF THINGS AND FREAKING OUT YOUR SIBLINGS AND YOUR BOYFRIEND. BUT BEING A NINJA WHILST DOING SO.

Aaaah, I so want to watch this movie again, for the subtext and Edmund's failed subtlety and all the DEEP, LOVING GAZES! I really need to, but I don't have a lot of time at the moment, so I don't know if I caaaaan. Argh. I still have a final and a test. asdjfl;kjasdf BUT NARNIA.

<33333 I LIKE YOUR JOY. IT FILLS ME WITH JOY.

I am too lazy to want to spend time figuring out how to use one. :P

EDMUND, THE SELF-SACRICING NINJA PEVENSIE. <3333333333445

do your school, do your school! that is very important and stuff. but if you have time, you should totally drop by and watch at least some of the Narnia movies with me Sunday. :D If you don't have Skype, the NFFR forums are here, and the chatroom is here. It should be really easy to join up for, and you can hang out with me and anyone else watching and have fun.

I'm going to say you shouldn't do an HP computer. Mine caused me alllll manner of trouble.

I think Dell tends to be okay? My friend had a Sony and was doing a fair amount of graphicking and such on it and I think that worked for her. Overall though I'm not going to have the most advice for you - just I would warn against the HP G-series PCs.

NARNIA. For reference, I should get back from work about 2pm Pacific time, but I know that might be a bit late for y'all east coasters to start, so I'll just join you wherever you are when I get in.

I'm leaning towards Dell, but not sure yet. thanks!

NARNIA NARNIA NARNIA :DDD. You'll be getting back around ... 5PM my time? So if we start at 3 you should only miss the first one! and you and I can rewatch that one together some other time. I WILL ALWAYS WANT TO REWATCH NARNIA WITH YOU. <33333333
