Today in the mail we got our copies of the divorce petition. So, tomorrow I will give notice at work that I expect to be leaving the area in about four weeks (Sep 28). Will look into storing my stuff at Active (where I work now) in a lift van (large wooden crate) so that I can just have it shipped to wherever I settle ( Read more... )

Well, today was interesting. We were real busy at work and so for the second day in a row I was out moving and not in the warehouse. Well, I have been working a lot of hours as a mover. Two weeks ago I worked 69.5 hours but this week I took a break and only worked 67.5. Next week sould really be light as we won't be working July 4th weekend. Well, I seem to have found regular work. For the last couple of weeks I have worked for Active Moving Company (which is actually a DBA or 'Doing Business As' for Crown Moving in Seattle) which is an affiliate of United Van Lines. This has been a good week for me. I worked two days as a handy man and should be working two days as a mover. Well, Monday I dropped my car off at a local garage and $165 later (includes tax) I had a waiver. What a waste! They knew it wasn't going to pass (is 11 years old and has over 235,000 miles on it). However, with the waiver I was able to get my car registered in Washington. Won't have to worry about the emission test for two years ( Read more... )
