So it turns out that St. Louis is experiencing a bit of a heat wave just as Dad is about to pull in to town for a visit this weekend. Granted, the man did spend more than his fare share of summers in the un-airconditioned cabs of 18 wheelers back in the day, so he should be ok. Depending on where you are in St. Louis, some of the highway exit lanes are, like, upwards of 2 miles long. You know the kind - the entrance lane for one ramp never ends and just becomes the exit lane for the next one, all well-marked with those bright yellow "Exit Only" strips on the signs every 1/2 mile or so.
