A lot of the Marxist structure was based around historical economics, especially Hegel and that Saint Simon dude.

Yes, I know, and a system can only change the existing situation until it has enough momentum to create a situation of its own, etc etc economics whatever. If I wanted to put real facts on it I wouldn't have put it up here.

One fact? Marx and Engels believed that material conditions and social relations were historically malleable.

However, you seem to be exceptionally confused about the theories of Marxism versus the actual practice of it.

In all seriousness, Karl Marx believed fervently in a struggle between classes, which were defined by relationship to production. He mainly focused on the proletariat, or the workers who got nothing in capitalism, and the bourgeoisie that exploited them.
