Yes, I lived through an earthquake on Saturday at 11:20 a.m. I was sitting on my couch when I heard a loud "bang" and the whole building lurch to the side and then back. Today ended an era in weather forecasting in my area. The weather anchor, Troy Dungan has been lead in the weather department at WFAA TV for 31 years. He made it sound like he was talking to only you.
He formally retired tonight.
He will be missed very much. -
Va Tech and the Tower shooting
What happened at Virginia Tech yesterday got me to musing on August 1, 1966. I actually got to meet and talk to the retired Texas Ranger Ramiro Martinez who helped end the sniper fire on the UT Austin campus. Sweet, sweet man.
