As a last moment decision, Doug, The Boy, and I went to the beach on Friday. It was so relaxing and lovely. We wandered Rehoboth a little bit and then drove up to Cape Henlopen for the rest of the afternoon. We stayed until dusk. Apparently the trick is to keep busy.
Today:- 1 gallon of yogurt made
- 1 batch of peach/thyme vinegar steeping
- 1 batch of tarragon/tomato vinegar steeping
- 6 quarts of tomato sauce
- 3 quarts of apple sauce

Just back from a lovely gathering at Carlie's. It would have been nice to linger longer - she is a remarkable hostess and always has the most interestingest people around.

I haz a twelve year old in the house right now.
She will be here until next weekend. I had forgotten how complicated twelve was. Some people, maybe, forget their names and faces and the songs but not me. Yes, it's a little bit foggy but I can still name every face in that photo and nearly every song we played.
