I love my local thrift store. Besides the shop with all the clothes, craft supplies, dishes, etc, they have a store that sells used books. One dollar for paperbacks, $2 for hardcovers, and an arbitrary amount for anything else (like antique books), although I can't imagine them charging more than $5 for anything. I woke up well rested this morning, which was a nice change, but the day went downhill from there. For some reason I can't determine, the dill on my balcony is dying, and it's one of my favourite summer herbs. Cold, rainy Saturdays are great for reading. Right now I'm working on "Riddle Master" by Patricia McKillip, which I bought myself for my birthday. I'm spending the morning making up kits for my Etsy shop. While it is fun to match tote bags, yarn, and patterns, it takes so long! I've been working away at it for almost 2 hours, and still have to add the eyes, embroidery yarn, and buttons. But I'm nearly there. Then I have to take photos of them all! I finally started knitting a sweater I had planned months ago. I got out the lovely malabrigo lace yarn, and knit a swatch. My gauge was about as close as I was going to get, so I picked what looked like the right size and started knitting.
