Apartment shopping with the folks

My parents paid my brother and I a visit today to help him go apartment shopping. The day traversed like something not unlike the following:

• Brother picked up parents at the airport
• Came back and picked me up
• Drove out across town to see an apartment complex
• Was given a tour and saw the few remaining apartments left that are available
• Returned back to

So what did you think of the iPad?  Try much on it?

I have strongly mixed opinions of the iPad. One thing to remember is that it really only is just an oversized iPod Touch, and nothing more. Sure, bigger screen, but that's about it. It won't do flash, etc etc etc

I'm thinking of skipping the iPad and instead going for a next-gen iPhone, because, from the various leaks, I believe it'll have the same resolution as an iPad and just as fast a processor, and it's more portable and can actually make cell calls!  But on the other hand, there are so many great non-Apple phones out now, too... *sigh*

Yep. I love the iPhone for its apps, but not so much for the OS itself, nor the hardware. It's not a BAD phone, mind you, but some of the stuff Android phones are sexy, and PalmOS is just so swank on the Palm Pre Plus.
