Went home for the weekend to spend some time with my parents, and to pick up some things I've received in them mail.

My parents paid my brother and I a visit today to help him go apartment shopping. The day traversed like something not unlike the following:

• Brother picked up parents at the airport
• Came back and picked me up
• Drove out across town to see an apartment complex
• Was given a tour and saw the few remaining apartments left that are available

• Sorted out a huge stack of papers

Wow, what a busy week. In short, I visited the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with my friend Dan (tankthetiger) and his mom, went to Anime Central (ACEN) 2010, and stopped by Wolf Park to see the new pups!

Biggest highlight of today: purchased a 3D0 game console at Goodwill for only $10. Never really heard much about these things (for good reason, they didn't last too long). Came with everything needed to run: power, video cable, 1 controller, and 3 games (Gex, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Slayer, and Shockwave. Pretty damn awesome! Best part? The ( Read more... )

• Vacuumed the carpets
• Cleaned up cat puke
• Went to see Iron Man II with brother, Jen, Marvin, Nick, Drew - superb! Downey Jr does it again!
• Bought a ticket to go to Expo Icrontic 2010 (YOU SHOULD GO!)

Sunday May 9th

• Drove to airport to pick up my parents

Today, Marvin and I built his first PC rig. All the parts came in from Newegg via UPS today. First, though, we went to Harry's Chocolate Shop for lunch - had burgers with some of Marvin's friends. Yesterday was a very nice day outside, weather wise. Warm, with a nice breeze, and very few clouds. The pollen skyrocketed after some storms, so my left eye is very red and itchy. Not unbearable though so some eyedrops and I'm fine.
