Summary: Kazuya thought that having a possessive boyfriend mean he would be loved entirely and wouldn’t get betrayed. It turned out, too much love would send a person to the bottom of the darkness.
The next morning, Kazuya woke up feeling more relaxed than usual. He saw the clock on the bedside table, it showed 6AM. He had plenty of times before going to work. He get up from the bed and noticed that Tatsuya wasn’t sleeping beside him.
Walking to the kitchen, Kazuya expected to see his boyfriend preparing breakfast there. But his boyfriend wasn’t there either. No sound coming from the bathroom so Kazuya concluded that Tatsuya hadn’t came back home. He made breakfast only for himself.
After eating his breakfast, Kazuya went to take a shower, getting ready for work. There was still no sign of Tatsuya. His boyfriend probably had some important business out of the town and forgot to tell him before. Kazuya was about to text his boyfriend but he changed his mind again. He could use this time to relax. Stop thinking about Tatsuya and told Jin the truth.
Kazuya arrived at the office quite earlier than usual. Probably because he was well-rested and somehow in a good mood that morning. He passed Jin’s desk, Jin hadn’t arrived. It’s not a surprised though, Jin came on time or even late most of the times. Jin was probably still asleep. That lazy ass.
Kazuya walked to his desk, opening his laptop and started revising the project. His part was almost done. He just needed to discuss some part of it with Jin. He wanted to see Jin’s part too. Then they could finalize it and held a meeting with higher division.
His colleagues began to arrive one by one. Kazuya took a glance at Jin’s desk. It’s still empty. He saw the clock and it showed that it’s been 45 minutes since the start of working time. Frown appeared on his face. When he finally decided to tell many things to Jin, that guy didn’t show up.
Kazuya was about to skip lunch when he heard his phone beeping. Text from his boyfriend.
‘I brought you lunch. I’ll wait at the lobby.’
Stretching his body, Kazuya took a look at Jin’s desk again before leaving his own desk. Jin hadn’t showed up on lunch time. That meant Jin didn’t come to work today. A tinge of worry started to appear on his mind. He wondered if Jin was sick. But he looked fine yesterday.
Kazuya decided to ponder about Jin later. Tatsuya is waiting for him and his boyfriend wasn’t fond of waiting for too long.
Tatsuya smiled when he saw Kazuya came out from the elevator. “Hi!” He said.
Kazuya only smiled.
“Here, I bring you lunch. Thought you’re gonna be busy for the whole day.” Kazuya took the box from his boyfriend.
“Thanks.” Kazuya said.
“Why don’t we go to the cafeteria? I wanna buy a cup of coffee. Feel kinda tired and sleepy today.” Tatsuya suggested.
Kazuya nodded and both of them proceed to the cafeteria.
At the cafeteria, Kazuya was eating his lunch made by his boyfriend while his boyfriend just staring at him with such a cheerful expression.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Kazuya asked while munching his food.
“Nothing. How’s the food?”
“It’s delicious. Thanks.” Kazuya remembered that this morning he didn’t saw Tatsuya. He decided to ask. “You didn’t come home last night?”
“Yeah.. I came back this morning but I saw you already went to work.” His boyfriend answered.
“Oh..”
“Miss me?” Tatsuya smirked.
Kazuya rolled his eyes and said, “It felt weird not seeing you around the house.”
“How about going to Okinawa this weekend? Both of us could have a nice time there.” Tatsuya suggested. “You look like a person who needs a vacation too, two or three days are enough I guess. If you’re tired, we could stay in bed all day.” He smiled suggestively while saying that.
Kazuya sighed. “You know I can’t.”
“Why?”
“Because I have to finish this project as soon as possible.” Kazuya suddenly looked tired.
“Oh.. But you still have much time, don’t you?”
“I don’t think so, today Jin doesn’t come so I have to do it all by myself.”
“So it’s about Jin again afterall.”
“What? I didn’t say that.”
“He doesn’t come which means you could take two or three days off too.”
Kazuya didn’t want to argue because he’s too tired for an argument with his boyfriend. He cleaned up his lunch, packed up his lunch box, got up from his seat. “Gotta get back to work. I’ll see you tonight at home.” He said before grabbing his lunch box and made his way back to the office.
Tatsuya didn’t say anything. He showed no expression either. He just sat there without even looking at Kazuya’s retreating back.
That night, Tatsuya didn’t say anything when Kazuya came home. They went to sleep in silence. Kazuya didn’t even has his dinner because he’s too tired and his boyfriend didn’t prepare dinner. So he went straight to bed.

The next day, Kazuya came to the office to see Jin’s desk was still empty. He had tried to call him last night only to get directed to the voice mail.
Sighing, Kazuya saw someone just came in. He realized this person was one of Jin’s friend. He remembered seeing him at the celebration party for him and Jin’s success for getting the project. If he remembered correctly, the guy’s name was Nakamaru. Nakamaru Yuichi.
Kazuya stopped the guy before he walked further to his desk. “Nakamaru-san!”
The said guy stopped and turned around to see Kazuya. “Yes?”
“Uhmm.. You’re quite close with Akanishi Jin, right?” Kazuya recalled several times he saw Jin was hanging out with this Nakamaru guy.
“He’s my flatmate.”
“Oh.. That’s great! Do you know where he is? He didn’t come yesterday and looks like he won’t come today too.” Kazuya asked.
“Hmm.. He didn’t come home since two days ago. I don’t know where he is.” Nakamaru said.
“I’ve tried calling his phone but no answer.” Kazuya added.
Nakamaru’s face showed no sign of worry at all. “Don’t worry. It’s usual for him to be like this. Whenever he has a problem with his girlfriend, he won’t come home. I’m used to it so it’s not a big deal.”
“Oh.. okay. If he come home tonight, let him know that I need him to finish his part of the project soon.” Kazuya said. He’s still not convinced by what Nakamaru said, but it had been only two days. He would ask again if Jin still didn’t come tomorrow.
“Sure.” Nakamaru nodded then proceed to his desk.
Before going back to his desk, Kazuya took a glance at Jin’s empty desk. Nakamaru might be right, he didn’t need to be too worried about Jin. His flatmate already said that it’s not weird for Jin to be suddenly disappeared like this. But Kazuya couldn’t ignore a slight of bad feeling that he felt.
Finally opening his laptop, Kazuya only hoped that Jin would show up tomorrow.
