In the drabble universe...

May 13, 2006 14:27

As I waited through my son's Pa Kua class, another idea popped into my head. This is one more for deemichelle for being so kind.

Please note, this is the distaff side of Legacy. Both are Post-HBP, and this implies a character death. ( Testament )

Are we in a particularly morose mood or is there a reason for offing the Senior Malfoy?? Love your drabbles, don't get me wrong, they get me all shivery and such.
Also, I MUST snag that particular Lucius icon. Have to. I think I've seen a bigger version of it, but shall I credit you?

I'm not morose... this is just the distaff side of the earlier drabble. We already know that Lucius is dead... this is just his final decision-making process. I will, however make that note at the top of the page, so no one else is shocked. Thanks for mentioning it.

As for the icon, it's not mine. For the appropriate credit, you could simply click on my default icon in the sidebar, which takes you to my icon page, and the credit is there. I can't remember who made it at the moment.

::whew:: I'm so relieved...

I have a difficult time seeing Lucius' life being spared after all his fiascos. Of course... hmmmm... I have a thought...

::runs to scribble it down::

OMG! Another heart wrenching Lucius! You are so glad at writing one of my favorite darling men! He is so beautiful and you capture his nature so grand.

I love it, I really do, for the reason that my heart could feel as if it has stopped to almost vision what is writted up! I loved it!

He is lovely isn't he? I wanted to capture the moment before he choose the cane to go to Draco. It adds to the first piece, I thought.

Thanks for letting me know you liked it.

OOH JASON icon!

Yeah, I see that, I thought it might have something to do with the first one, and now that you say that, I really see it, it was very good.

I only have two 'actor' icons. Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman... there just aren't any others I'd choose. The other male icons are all characters. But Jason Isaacs is just... ooh, man... ::melts::

I'm so glad you see the connection between the two drabbles. Thanks.

Oh, poor Lucious... I mean, Lucius... you know what I mean.

**is flustered**

Very nice distaff to the first drabble... you do have the angst center of your brain working overtime today, don't you? Ah, well... this was indeed very moving. Trust you to tug at my heart.

Thank you, thank you.

I know it's angsty, but I wanted to balance the other side...

What shall I do for the third act?

I am once again thrilled to see this addition. For a third... Hmm... Maybe have Draco use the cane ~ as previously suggested/mentioned. He could "show the world" the he won't back down just because his father isn't the Master of the house anymore.

I don't have the talent to write all of that eloquently in 100 words, but I have faith!! (and cake!!!)
hahaha

Lucius' perspective was begging to be written for this. I really wanted to show he's realized the enormity of his mistakes in the last moments/days of his life.

For the third, I've an idea, but it had to solidify. But for cake... yummm!

What is Pa Kua? A SoCal thing?

Oops, Pa Kua is a blend of Chinese martial and healing arts, and is taught around the world. The masters travel to other schools (Argentina, Italy, Russia,) to teach and it's always evolving. My son is only taking the sword and martial classes at this point. He's always wanted to be a ninja or Aragorn!

*SIGH!* So have mine (2 boys -- 15 and almost 8)....you don't have Naruto items all around the house, do you? Headbands? Cut off gloves? Pretend little throwing knives? Pieces of scarves with eyeholes cut out? I had to make a Sakura costume for the 11-year-old girl for Halloween, 'cause I couldn't find out online in time. LOTR is a bit beyond the two younger ones...though we have four copies in the house. Tolkien drags on a bit for them.

We don't have Naruto (our two are 17 and 13,) but boy did we have Pokemon! In its heyday I worked for Warner Bros. and was given tons of the pokemon stuffed animals by our marketing department. The kids loved those little toys. We had the whole Ash outfit, including hat. Of course, we also had the Power Ranger throwing stars and costumes as well.

Then Lord or the Rings and Harry Potter came to the screen... Aragorn and Legolas were very, very big in our household, as was Harry Potter. My younger son was very slender at that time and has very thick dark hair... so one Halloween he was Harry. We made his wand and broomstick and I made his wizarding robes and drew a scar. We found fake glasses and, voila he was Harry! Interestingly, he looked better as a Harry than the other kids who'd bought the costumes ( ... )
