Green Tea Macarons with White Chocolate Ganache

Well, I have seen all of the recent macaron recipes, and found them just inspirational!  I decided to take a whack at it myself, and  I think they came out pretty well!  The tops were not entirely smooth, because I ground the almonds myself, but the texture turned out great, and I was really pleased with how creamy the ganache turned out.

I would recommend using a much smaller amount of the ganache on the macarons than I did here, because the white chocolate over-powers the delicious matcha flavor, so you just want a little hint!
