I hate religion

So, my family was talking about religious beliefs. Somehow, it went from them talking about the Bible to Janelle stating that she practices Wicca, but doesn't believe in a higher being. And my mom went on and said "you're wrong for doing that ( Read more... )

Fuck organized religion, indeed!

Just like you said, everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want to believe in. No one should ever tell someone they're wrong.

As for me, I'm agnostic. I believe there may be a higher power, but whatever. Organized religion reminds me too much of cults for me to be interested in pursuing any of them further.

I don't like religion, too. I just don't understand it.

You're right. Organized religion sucks.

I believe in God... but i also believe in nature and magic/elements.

But apparently if i believe in either religion i can't believe in the other -__-

I agree, organised religion is more hassle than its worth. I think religion can be a good thing, it can help people in times of need, but telling someone how they should worship just seems to totally go against the whole ethos of beliefs that are supposed to be loving, caring and helpful.

Personally, I am Christian. I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I do not attend church; although I actually would like to.. just haven't found a place I like. I read the Bible, watch Jesse Duplantis on tv (I LOVE him. My husband likes him too and I would call him more agnostic than christian.) I have my own beliefs and am who I am because of it. I consider myself full of "Jesus love" as I call it. I am just so in love with everybody.. even if I don't like them. Haha. I'm a do good-er; always ready to help and doing what I can. I genuinely care.

My belief and my relationship with my god is what turned me into me. Up until 17, I considered myself atheist and was a completely different person than I am now. Not that I was evil or anything. Just viewed things differently.

Everybody has that right. My opinion: even in my religion God is the creator and can control everything and He gave people the right to think for themselves!
