Hehe, that's cute, "something to something to something that happened in the Shang." The Shang is a strange, enigmatic dynasty. Whenever I think of Shang the word "alien" comes to mind. :P

I know I'm missing something major, but it sounds nice enough. :P

Oh well ... I try and remember that I'm still learning and so I'm sure I'll come back in a few months or years and go 'Oh GOD how did I miss THAT?' but c'est la vie. Gotta start somewhere. :)

my dictionary sais 瑤臺 is a poetic expression for moon or.. mm.. place where immortals live (something like that.. it's chinese-russian dictionary, so i don't really know how to translate the 2nd meaning into english).

and, by the way, thank you for posting chinese poetry and for your translations and for your journal as a whole. )

That would make sense (the immortal part - or moon ...), I didn't bother to look it up in my big dictionary, I will tonight. :)
