From Far Away is 14 volumes, not 15, right? "That's not the real reason" - My interpretation: right before that, he was telling Noriko to stay with him so he could protect her, because people knew their identities and would come after her. She rejected that and ran off because she didn't want to bring him any more suffering. Then he realized that was just an excuse to her and to himself: in reality he wanted her to stay with him not just for practical reasons like her safety, but because he loved her and he needed her with him.

I'm glad you mentioned not being sure how to interpret that. It made me go back and reread the whole volume to see what I thought. And it made me think about what was happening, maybe more than I did the first time I read it. Volume 7 had some really sweet moments in it so it was nice to revisit :D

I've heard some good things about Forest of Gray City too. Will have to check it out... (I like the "To run in...etc" translation of the title better. i wonder why they changed it?)

yes, it's only 14. I want the 15th one, though :)
That's so cool. I was waiting for you to reread FFA so I can ask about your interpretation. I've been rereading that series for 3 times now, and every time, I got to that part, the ambiguity/open to interpretation is good but it bugs me not to know the *real reason* :P
btw, Barago cracks me up - when he teased Izark that he'd follow Izark and he'd responsible for him (Barago) now :D
I'm trying to find memorable manga moments from FFA to nominate at Heart of Manga, but there are so many, I can't decide. Sorry to go on and on about this, but I do like this series a lot. You need to reread it so we can gush about it :)

You need to check out Forest of Gray City. I've reread it 3 times now, right after finishing it, too. It's so unlike other typical manhwa, Bring it On! for example. I wonder why they changed the title, too. The literal seems to be more romantic, doesn't it?

Hee, I'd like a volume 15 too :D I'll try to set aside some time to reread the whole series soonish!! Right now I'm distracted by work I need to do, and all the new August releases coming out. I'll make time for it though! It's fun to gush about manga together :D :D

I was close to ordering Forest of Gray City off Amazon at one point but then I never did. I don't know why. The literal title definitely gives a better sense of atmosphere and mood. More romantic too, yes. (also, I just looked up the original covers and they changed those for the English release too! the originals seem cuter, showing both characters together on each of the covers. but as long as the story inside is intact, that's probably what's most important...)

Oh, I'm curious about the original cover. Where do you find them? I assume the story is intact :) since I haven't heard otherwise. Yen Press isn't known for censoring. The US covers are a bit gloomy... but they do give an *adult* impression.
