Some points: - Borrowed from inter-library loan. I flew through 5 volumes on a sunday afternoon! - It was intense and page turner for sure. - I probably won't reread it but I'm glad I read it. The series has many interesting ideas about brains, humans, and lots of other deep topics: love, vicious cycle of abuse ... - There are a lot of gray areas. - I didn't hate any of the characters even though they did terrible things, they aren't portrayed evils, more like they didn't know better. - The end is somewhat satisfying, a bit sad. But that was to be expected - I don't think after the face off with Isaac, Shuro would come back alive! - It's scarry how things we may have said without thinking or in moments of anger may have deadly results.
Bottom line, great series. Highly recommended if you like suspense and thrillers.
