“Right, that’s sorted,” the Doctor said cheerfully, satisfied at having averted another potential disaster. “Let’s get back to the TARDIS. This way, Ponds!” With that he set off, striding briskly along an overgrown path.
Amy and Rory stared after him for a moment, looked at each other, grinning, then set off in the opposite direction.
“How far d’you think he’ll get before he realises he’s going the wrong way?” Rory asked.
Chuckling, Amy shook her head. “No idea. I was just wondering when he’ll notice we’re not following him.”
“Probably never.” Rory shrugged. “He’ll be too busy talking to himself.”
