Tosh was always the first, after Jack and Ianto, to arrive at the Hub. Honestly, it was hard for her to stay away; there was always something interesting for her to play with, whether that meant a programme she was working on, or a new piece of alien tech for her to study. She lived for the challenge of figuring out what such devices were, and how they worked, enjoyed nothing better than taking something broken and rendering it operational again.
Ianto’s coffee was another very compelling reason to get to work early. There was no better start to her day than a steaming cup of freshly brewed heaven. All that being the case, it made sense for her to have most of her mail delivered to the Tourist Office. That way, if there was anything important, she could deal with it right away.
“Letter from your mum,” Ianto said cheerfully, setting the envelope reverently on Tosh’s desk.
“Thank you, Ianto!” Tosh beamed at him, silently blessing Jack for not sticking to the rules UNIT had imposed on her release. Letters flew back and forth between Tosh and her family. She felt closer to them now than she’d ever been.
