For as long as he could remember, Wilf had been fascinated by the stars. As a boy, he’d spent many evenings lying on his back, staring up at them, imagining what might be out there in space, the strange people and animals that might exist on other worlds.
He would have liked to be an astronomer, or an astronaut, but his life had taken a different direction. Still, he’d bought a telescope so he could feel closer to those distant stars.
Now Donna was out there somewhere, having wonderful adventures, and he was vicariously living his dream through her stories.
