A/N: Double drabble.
It never failed to alarm Ianto whenever he saw Jack wielding a screwdriver. Jack and home repairs were two things that should never be combined, not unless you wanted to blow something up.
He’d once shorted out the Hub’s electrics, and electrocuted himself, by using a screwdriver in an effort to fish the button off his shirt cuff out of the toaster when it came off while he was getting breakfast. When Ianto had asked him why he hadn’t just turned the toaster upside down, Jack had explained that his toast had been in the other side.
With a track record like that, Ianto felt fully justified in locking his toolbox out of his husband’s reach. Jack could fix a spaceship, no problem, but anything of the DIY variety was best left to someone more... competent.
“What’re you doing with that, Jack?” Ianto approached cautiously.
“The table’s a bit wobbly so I borrowed this from the Hub.” Jack waved the screwdriver. “It’s not helping though.” He rocked the table, and the leg fell off. “Oh. Oops?”
Ianto rolled his eyes. “Well done; you must’ve been twisting the screw the wrong way. Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Better let me fix it.”
