Dean and Sam don't need a little sister. Just look at what happened to their little brother.
I hope it was a half sister or else AU because otherwise it's impossible. Sam was only six months old when Mary died. No time to have another kid.

Very true and exactly! I don't know how fic writers manage to squeeze in sisters, but they do.

It's probably not even possible to make a character named Dawn freakin' Melody a non-Mary Sue. I am facepalming forever.

I've known people named Dawn, and people named Melody, but not both at the same time. Is Melody actually used as a last name?
