Einstein said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Also, I don't understand why you took it there (especially so many times) if you weren't expecting anything to be fixed? Did you just need an official "it's broken"?

Between this comment and the tags, I really wish that LJ had a "like" or "love" button.

Totally off-topic -- who did the sketch in your icon? It looks a lot like the work my friend Jeff does.

My friend Joobr did it one day - it's a sketch of me, apparently, but I think that it is much prettier.

That's my understanding, too. Which was loads of fun when I was in college; my eMac (looked like a big CRT monitor, weighed fifty fucking pounds) had that capacitor problem, but the nearest Apple store was three hours and another state away. I felt sorry for the tech who had to drive out to my campus, especially when the replacement logic board was also faulty and he had to come back the next week.

I have no idea, I don't use their products. That sounds appropriate, though - most of the things I buy make me call customer service and have only their preferred techs look at it or it violates the warranty.

I have a number of famous songs. You need to be more specific.

But I asked the question.

in your post, you said you played "an uber famous, well known song, that everyone knows the entire lyrics and score to unless they are Exclusive Brethren or something."

You know it's broken, right? I mean, how many people told you it's broken?

So why do you need this particular store to validate your suspicisions of your iPod's status so bad? Just go to another store, or, you know, trust the opinion you already have and just accept that it's, um, broken.

I did go to a different shop. Same result.

Which by the way I clearly pointed out MANY times in the OP. And to think the taxpayer wasted their money on your education.

One line, that's easily lost in your artsy little "one sentence fragment per new line" bit is not "MANY times".
