This happened early last year. This was the first iPod I broke. I dropped it on the floor. Straight after doing that I noticed that all my music sounded completely and utterly different.
So I made the mistake of taking it to the shop I bought it from. Mostly to see what was wrong with it and if it was fixable, I didn't care if they fixed it.

Also, I don't understand why you took it there (especially so many times) if you weren't expecting anything to be fixed? Did you just need an official "it's broken"?

So why do you need this particular store to validate your suspicisions of your iPod's status so bad? Just go to another store, or, you know, trust the opinion you already have and just accept that it's, um, broken.
