YOU! OMG, you fucking take the cake. I have been nothing but nice to you from the very beginning. I gave you some paid time, and sent you every icon of him I had. Plus, his music that you didn't have. I thought we were friends of a sort. Then you began your abuse ( Read more... )

This is a little off-topic, but I can't not ask:

I notice you never once use the word "Character", but always "Charrie"; is this some game-specific jargon particular to the game you guys were playing in?

I'm just stressed, so I wasn't really paying much attention to calling them characters, and not charries. I have arthritis in my hands, and fibromyalgia. I got used to shortening whatever I possibly could so it was easier on me when I typed out long responses that are not IC in nature.

My RP circle also often calls characters "charries". x3

XD. I use it so much, it feels odd saying character anymore.

Well, that sucks. I personally think that when you're role-playing with someone, especially in a close relationship of some form, it does nothing but help fun for everyone if you have conversations about plots and the characters. It doesn't mean you can't have surprises and twists for each other, but there should be a positive back-and-forth OOC. Because it's not fun RP if we're not invested in our characters, and whilst we equally shouldn't take IC things OOC, it's easy for it to be Not Fun if your character is getting fucked over repeatedly by things out of their control. If you're role-playing a close relationship with another PC, you need to accept that you are responsible for a portion of this player's enjoyment ( ... )

This. I can't imagine an RP relationship going well with no OOC communication. Seriously, it's cooperative storytelling, where's the damn cooperation?

Exactly, you state my entire rant so sufficiently in one little sentence. Thank you. *grumbles about how stressed this has all made her feel.* =D

I reeeeally hate it when people refuse to talk about what direction they want their character's story to go. Characters take on ideas of their own sometimes and that's fine, but to not even allow people to ask you "Hey, what's going on over here?" is just stupid, IMO.

Sorry you had to deal with that, especially after you were so nice to her in the beginning.

wow sounds like the person you're talking about is a hell of a control freak.

(on another note, I'll bet the cause of your arthritis AND Fibromyalgia is Lyme and one or more co-infections. It was for mine.)

The person they're ranting about is notorious for just throwing drama from left field and when it's not taken well (because surprise!drama is her forte even if most of the time it is wildly OOC) she blames RL situations affecting her RPing.

And she doesn't enjoy plotting things like this, either. It just occurs. It could be kittens and rainbows and world peace and then suddenly rocks fall, everyone dies and there were no rocks to begin with.

She's also a huge fan of guilt trips to get her way when she's called on her bullshit.

What a lovely RPer, huh?

Oy vey. Either the person is 16 years old and an attention whore, or their mentality never left High School (and an attention whore).

I'm chalking it up to all of the above and she's also an idiot.

Sorry for the second mini rant here. imsodunwurshit September 2 2010, 07:32:11 UTC
Exactly, that was my point too. When I did try to talk to her, she would act like an ass. Then as time went on she would yell at me that she was having a bad day, and I was making it worse. I was always up front with her if I was having a bad day or something. I would ask her if it was okay to talk, tell her the general mood I was in, and that I didn't want to upset her, but can we talk about things. She wouldn't say anything for like ever, then suddenly she would jump down my throat for coming to her on a bad day, which they seemed to always be. I was like, hello, I just told you my general mood, and the day I was having, as in the gist of it. So, couldn't you have told me then that it was a bad time, let's talk later? That wasn't good enough, and then she would lay it on me. My charries do whatever they do, and that is that ( ... )
