Well, that sucks. I personally think that when you're role-playing with someone, especially in a close relationship of some form, it does nothing but help fun for everyone if you have conversations about plots and the characters. It doesn't mean you can't have surprises and twists for each other, but there should be a positive back-and-forth OOC. Because it's not fun RP if we're not invested in our characters, and whilst we equally shouldn't take IC things OOC, it's easy for it to be Not Fun if your character is getting fucked over repeatedly by things out of their control. If you're role-playing a close relationship with another PC, you need to accept that you are responsible for a portion of this player's enjoyment

It does suck. And with the cheating, in canon this muse she was playing is not hinted at as gay or bi. Now, I know we are playing our charries as aged from canon, still. My charrie is a hippie w and I see her as having a very healthy idea about sex, where she reads up on various things within its scope. I can see her trying to be with a woman at some point, but with a reason. This was just, they were so pleasuring themselves and being watched was so erotic it just happened. It wasn't even discussed with me, and the drama just came out of left field. This had been the end all of my patience with her

It does get horrible. I had a deranged player of my character's other half once. She kept on throwing out all kinds of disasters without consulting or warning me which would, of course, affect my toon. But I NEVER got consulted. The worst occasions would leave me feeling physically nauseous with the stress, from apprehension and knowing there was literally nothing I could to to stop the problems - I just had to go with it and attempt damage control.

So, yeah. Just to say, I totally get where you are, and I totally get the scarring. It gets better. There is nice RP out there! :)

I know there is, and I have it in spades. Each of them present unique problems, but they are all worth my time.
