Thank God I'm not the only one. I get so frustrated when I see her posts because it seems like everyone replies with "Oooh, I ♥ your pictures! Take more!!" Yes, please, show us how not to "train"/beat our horses into submission.

Some of his training looks like it's the "parelli" method. But I've seen people use parelli as a form of training, and it definiately didn't work the way he's doing it. All the horses look fearful in these pictures. I pity anyone who sends their horse to this guy, and I pity the girl who takes lessons from him.

I'm glad you replaced the word "angry" with "fearful." Horses are not angry by nature - people make them chose between their fight or flight instincts. When flight is not an option (as seen in the paint mare), well...

It really is sad because perhaps this girl really doesn't know any better. Maybe she hasn't seen anything different. Hopefully she's able to "see the light" of sorts before more horses are forced to go through what these horses have endured.

parelli would NEVER advocate what that guy was doing. :( this is a great example of dumb fucks who misuse and misunderstand 'natural horsemanship.' i kinda pity the girl too, but come ON. how any reasonably intelligent person, even a non horse person, couldn't see something was wrong with those pictures is beyond me.

Oh wow. When you look at all that together... Jesus.

Not only is Wonder-Trainer a horse whisperer and a spay/neuter pro, but also a farrier!

From photo post #2 regarding the horse who went through the fence:
But Shane is a farrier and knew what to do to treat it, so I guess that's good.

... Because if my horse went through a fence and sliced up his pasterns, I'd call my farrier to treat it.

Ugh, looking through all those pictures made me sick. How can people even *think* for a second that this guy knows what he's doing? Yay for animal abuse, teeheehee! My horse, Leo, is messed up from people like these. And can we say amimal hoarder? This is disgusting. Because we all know that there aren't enough unwanted, homeless dogs and cats to go around!

People encourage these pictures of animal cruelty?

I think my horse and dogs need some hugs right now...

I've seen these posts in other communities and thank you. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one horrified by what was happening. I'd be willing to consent that because these are just photos and we're not actually present that it may not be as bad as it seems....but I had all kinds of evil thoughts running through my head as I saw this ( ... )

i know. it's disgusting. i couldn't get over that stupid girl waving her arms at that poor mare! and the sacking out...that was appalling. i have never seen ANYthing even remotely like that...and i come from an actual cattle ranch whose sole purpose for existence is to raise cattle, with horses to do the work...worked by actual mexican vaqueros who can be pretty rough (but at least know when the fuck to stop). parelli, anderson, lyons...all those guys would probably faint dead away if they saw what this moron was doing.

I agree. It might be true that everyone trains their horses differently but abuse is abuse no matter how it's presented. The girl who purposefully is trying to frighten that mare just sickens me...horses do not have a choice who owns and handles them and I think those photos and that girl really compromise the true spirit and gentleness of the horse by treating it poorly. In any case, I admire the way you're sticking up for the animals in these photos by confronting these alleged "training methods". I wish there were more people like you, blauereiterin, in the world. -S
