I feel kind of ....flat.  Minimal effort for supper tonight - grilled cheese for the girls and a slush for me.  The thought of eating makes me nauseous, and my throat is still sore and raw from throwing up so much last night.  I've called a peace treaty for homework wars tonight - I just can't face it.  The only responsibilities I have left tonight ( Read more... )

balloons, cemetery, abby, angelversary, calendar dates, pictures

yes, they are. In a way, I'm glad these days have passed for another year. I think of Abby every day throughout the year, but when the actual dates roll around, it just knocks me flat all over again :-/

Thanks D. I was thinking a lot about our 'BC tradition' of leaving rose petals at the pier. It feels like it's been a hundered years since I did that last, instead of nearly two years. Time really messes with my mind lately...

I've never commented before, but I found your journal through someone else (I think it was a comment of yours on babyslime's journal) and for the past month or so I've been reading through your journal, especially the ones from this time 3 years ago and I've shed many a tear for you and your family, for your little angel, and I just wanted to let you know that like so many others that have commented, I've been thinking about you and your family during these past few days ( ... )

Thanks Caitie, I appreciate you 'delurking'. I leave my Abby entries public because I want to share her memory in hopes that her life can be a lesson or a healing message to others.

I believe all the things that you do, too. That Abby is watching us from heaven, that she (and God) sent Charlotte as a gift, that she met Charlotte before we did - it's been such a healing gift to have Charlotte join our family.

Thanks again for your comment, and for delurking :-)
