Oh man. I feel for you so much. That was an absolutely great description.

I could say something cheerful but something tells me this is not the time for that so instead I wrap you in hugs.

Geesh! Dont be so hard on yourself!
That ball takes alot of strength to AND if you were the rock you'd be kicking yourself because your kids needs wouldn't be being met! (danged if you do/dont situation)
You are right though in that you obviously need to make YOU a priority as well. Any chance of finding a sitter for a couple hours a couple times a week?

It's a delicate balance, meeting the needs of my family without totally neglecting my own. Just when I think I have a good balance of both, my own needs get pushed aside and I start feeling used and drained by the people I love most. I just haven't had the energy to make that stand and reclaim time for myself.

I'm guitly of this one to... It was a constant fight even without a baby in the house. Now well, it feels like a loosing battle somedays.
I swore I would go back to karate when Alex was 6weeks'ish old.... he's 10 months and I've been there twice. :( My back hurts, old knee injuries are bothering me again, I feel BLAH but, the beasty needs his Mommy at bed time which just happens to be when karate starts. Grrrrr!

Yup, me too. I renewed my gym membership two months ago (?) and I've been there twice. And I won't even get started on how dusty my school books are :-(
