a family day

Five years ago from now, I was in really active labour and my water would soon break.  In less than 2 hours it will be the time of Abby's birth.

She's been on my mind all day but the day has been too ...... normal, for me to really visit with Abby's memory.  Today is Jack's only day off that we would be at home and we were both a bit overwhelmed

That actually sounds like a lovely day. Abby would want her family to bind together and enjoy the day...while still thinking of her often. It sounds like you did exactly that. Hugs!!!

I thought about you guys all day. In the process I totally forgot that it was my FIL's birthday. When they arrived with a cake (unannounced) something about it hit me and I literally melted down on the phone with Kate.

I'm looking forward to seeing you today.
