I just read a humorous and thoughtful analysis of the data consistency issues around recording nontraditional marriages. It's also a great illustration of why all nontrivial systems end up enforcing some of their data integrity rules in the database and some in the application.

Bye-bye bibble?
I think I might give up on the Bibble 5 beta. Some bits work quite well, for example the camera image import and exposure tweaking stuff works well. Other things are clunky (for example image export has a weird and not very easy to use interface). The "final" straw though is the fact that you can tag images with keywords, and also modify them ( Read more... ) -
Clearly nobody sees my face, it's obscured by the camera
While the images produced by my new camera are a bit larger than the images produced but the old one, I'm also using it much, much more:
