An out of control brush fire swept through town last week and Santa Barbara almost burned to the ground. As it was, it was just a bunch of Westmont students out to have some fun who just managed to burn down part of their own campus and 200 multi-million dollar homes ( Read more... )

William and David and I picked persimmons and made hoshigaki last night. You may recall them from my LJ post last year. We picked close to 200 persimmons, washed them, peeled them, and hung them out to dry.
