Sara is home sick.  So I am working from home to be with her.  She is watching TV.  I wish to say for the record that the show wonderpets is not only annoying, but stupid.  Sadly, Sara appears to like it, and I know David does.  I think this might mean I am going to have to see it more often.  

So, it has been announced that BB King will be playing the Chicago Blues Festival June 8th (Which is a Sunday night) this year.  I have wanted to go to this festival for years and something always comes up.  I am so going this year.  If anyone else would like to go and meet us there (I assume Chris is going, but he hasn't confirmed this yet) it is ( Read more... )

It occurs to me that I read at least 2 books a week and rarely ever talk about them.  Which is interesting because I often think "I should write in LJ about this book.  It was so interesting because of x y and z."  Anyway, I figured the best way to fix this was to sit down and do it ( Read more... )

Cook this spiced up meatloaf on a broiler pan so any excess fat can drip away.  Line the bottom of the pan with foil for speedy clean up.

Dear person/entity/nothing in charge of the weather,

Make the snow/rain/sleet/crap from the sky stop falling.  I'm tired, cranky, and sick of the wet.  I am sick of it taking 1.5 hours to get home after work.  I am tired of stressing if I am going to have to pay a late fee to the daycare.  I am done with winter.  It can stop now.

I am amazingly tired and stressed out.  I am running on 3.5 hours of interupted sleep.  There is a project at work that I have been assigned to that is just so screwed up.  I am pretty sure that's why I am assigned to it, to unscrew it up, but in the meantime, it is one huge cluster f*ck.  My shoulders hurt and I threw up this morning on my way out ( Read more... )
