Had a Japanese Oral exam today; how is it that I'm always besieged by bouts of nervousness come exam periods that makes me stutter in English, much less Japanese?

Managed to finish my Academic Writing paper right on the dot today - that's what you get for stoning at the questions too long, I suppose. The paper could have been worse, but I couldn't help feeling a little grumpy after leaving the exam hall, knowing I could have done better*wry* I guess I'm not all that good at writing factual/academic essays?
