1. A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin
Goes along with Season 3 of Game of Thrones. The show, however, basically ends with the "red wedding" & that happens about 1/2-3/4 of the way through the book. Futuristic, dystopic novel that is about a girl who is one of the sole survivors of a wipe out - a "kill or be killed" situation. Pretty good. Not as good as The Hunger Games trilogy, but better than the Divergent series.

True crime about a man accused of murdering his wife and 2 daughters; whereas he blames it on a group of people (ala the Manson killings). It's an interesting story, but it's very repetitive and there is no real conclusion.

1. Wild by Cheryl Strayed
I loved this book so much!  It's an autobiographical account of Strayed's journey through the Pacific Crest Trail.  I wish I had the guts to do what she did, but I'd probably quit before I left the driveway.  Amazing story of hiking.  Simple, but interesting.
