I took Sam back to the vet today. He is doing much better. The hair on his head is almost grown back, he does not look a gorilla, anymore. He lost 6 pounds of the last month, I need to figure out his secret. He has been on meds for the last month and actually moves around now. Had a great weekend. My youngest dog Emily went with us to Crown. She met horses for the first time and is now afraid of them. We had 8 free range horses come and visit Friday morning when waiting for gate to open. It is really nice to be back to my old self. My energy level is through the roof. Sam is doing better. The blood work came back and his Thyorid is low. We start him on meds tonight. We are trying to figure out if we can take him to June Crown so he does not miss any of his meds. He goes back in a few weeks to see the vet and to get another shot. It sounds like we will be taking him in every month for shots. Fun stuff.

Well, he does not have skin mites or mange. He still has his yeast infection in his ears. I thought we had gotten it with the last round of treatments, but I guess not. The infection only went deeper into his ears. We are now going to try a different treatment and steroids, lots of them. Every 4 to 5 weeks he get a shot and pills in between the ( Read more... )

I am extremely worried about my dog Sam Wise. He is now lost most of the fur on his legs, head, and sides. We take him back to the vet tomorrow. I know he is 11 years old and for a big dogs that is pretty good. I don't like seeing him suffering and worry we will have to put him down, the family would not be the same with out my seal boy.

Things are going well down here in my new home. Most of my garden is in and starting to grow. The dogs are up to their messy tricks, nothing new. G is sick and I am not, it is a good day. I finally have the sewing bug again, so my project list should start to go down soon I hope. I just hope I can have everything done before leaving for Pennsic ( Read more... )

Well, G and I are giving the baby thing one last try this year. My doctor started me on hormones to start figuring out the best time to try getting pregnant. Well, the hormones triggers massive bleeding and major clots,not so fun. For those that helped me at Crown thank you so much. Well, White Shield is now over and it went really well. I have now recovered and I almost have my house back. This is a good thing. My hubie last day of work is Friday and he has looked for work at all, I am not sure what to do with him. He has worked for his company for over 18 yeas and really has no clue.
