Room 213 - [early evening]

May 21, 2006 17:43

Rory sat, primly perched upon her bed with a still-waking puppy in her lap, reading The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath while she waited for Jack.

And yes, she was once again cursing herself for not setting an actual time. Seriously. You'd think she'd learn.

[Here for Jack, obviously. :)]

Jack, having crossed the vast distances from 215 to 213, knocked on Rory's door.

"Rory, it's Jack," he called out, smiling to himself. "You're not allowed to pretend you're not there."

With a smile, Rory left her book and gently set Vladdie on the bed, and crossed the room to open the door.

"Well there goes my secret plan," she said, grinning as she opened the door. "Hi, Jack."

"Good evening, my lovely Rory," he replied, returning her grin. "You have to watch out for me, I'm a terrible foiler of secret plans. You're still feeling social enough to be seen in public with me?"

"Of course!" she said brightly. "Oh, and there is a puppy for you to meet."

She gave a quick whistle, leaning against the door to push it open more, and a weetiny fluffy puppy came waddling over from the bed.

"Jack, this is Vladdie, who does not bite in spite of being a fangy boy," Rory said, kneeling and picking up said puppy.

Vladdie yipped excitedly and pawed the air.
