I do not envy the choice you have to make.

I shall try to impart some wisdom here (Which i normally shy away from, as advice can be a dangerous gift) with some words that were told to me when I joined a club.

It seems there maybe some detriment to your business and livelihood if you participate this year.

Without your business and income you can not give to charity.

When TPTB make stupid decisions, TPTB may find themselves needing to donate the pasta salad from the local grocery store, paid for out of TPTB's own pockets.

Yeah...and I'd love to see them find anything remotely close to what I make. Not bragging, or anything, but it's damned good.

They aren't going to find a grocery store pasta salad that has fresh herbs and artichoke hearts and capers and the freshest of vegetables or loaded with shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. Nope, never seen that in the grocery.

But hooray for your initiative! Hope you choke them! It so often works - because TPTB does not work by thrust and initiative, but inertia, as proved by their insipid remark. "Oh we forgot". There's an epitaph for a fucked up festival!
